Musescore is a brilliant Free and Open Source piece of notation software which is kept up to date pretty well by most operating systems/distributions. However, recent versions of Ubuntu have been shipping with outdated versions of Musescore 2 rather than using the more up to date Musescore 3. Lets fix thatβ¦
I did this on Ubuntu Studio 19.04, but I am pretty sure this should work just fine on 18.04LTS, 18.10 and any version to come after 19.04.

Special thanks to Fifine for sending me this great little microphone to review. The K6 is a budget dynamic microphone, similar in design to the Shure SM58.

In a follow up to my video about audio/music production on a PC vs a Mac, here is a quick tour of my own music production workstation. This video just focuses on the core computer itself, I don’t look at screens, monitors, audio interfaces or microphones, just the computer itself.

With the European Union recently passing Articles 11 & 13 there is a lot of talk about the detriment it will have to free speech and society as a whole.
But will it actually help one of the things is claims to serve; the music industry? Or will it just damage that too?
Let’s dive in and find out.
